FSC® Certification and Chain of Custody Standards

Canusa Hershman is proud to offer applicable Chain of Custody standards and FSC® Certification through the Forestry Stewardship Council®. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. Chain of Custody standards provide chronological documentation of the sequence of custody, control, transfer, analysis and disposition of materials.

Charitable Giving

We strive to be good citizens who care about nurturing our community, the environment in which we work and the planet in which we live. Since 1981, we’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to pledge a portion of earnings to charitable organizations within our communities—particularly ones that focus on the environment, education and children.

LEED® Certified Headquarters

In 2008, Canusa Corporation opened its refurbished LEED® certified headquarters in Baltimore’s historic Fell’s Point neighborhood. This 200+ year old building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Canusa transformed the building from an empty shell to a modern, environmentally friendly office space. Notable features include recycled flooring and surfaces, energy efficient lighting, plumbing, HVAC and other “green” products, including functional furniture made from corrugated sheets.
